Nationally Accredited Ultrasound Lab

A nationally accredited ultrasound lab is one of the many ways the Pinehurst Surgical Women's Care Center demonstrates their commitment to convenient, comprehensive and compassionate  women's health care.  The overall purpose of the accreditation program is to ensure that all ultrasound examinations are performed by medical professionals formally trained in ultrasonography according to the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) standards.  Physicians and sonographers must meet strict requirements including formal training and annual continuing medical education in ultrasonography.  All of our sonographers must also be certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
