Our Ophthalmology Center is proud to offer the following eye treatments to patients in Pinehurst, Rockingham, Laurinburg, Apex, Albemarle, Carthage, NC and surrounding areas:
Types of Eye/Vision Surgery We Provide in Aberdeen, Sanford & Smithfield
This type of surgery is used to treat patients with cataracts, which occur when the crystalline lens in the eye clouds due to aging, disease or trauma. Typically, the natural lens of the eye will be removed and replaced with an artificial, intraocular lens.
Glaucoma results from optic nerve damage, which can lead to vision loss and sometimes, permanent blindness. Glaucoma surgery is performed to remove or reduce the production of excess aqueous in the eye, lowering intraocular pressure (IOP).
Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery
Ophthalmic plastic surgery treats functional disorders of the orbits, eyelids, and lacrimal drainage system. This type of plastic surgery is also recommended when patients want to cosmetically enhance areas of their eye zone, including their eyes, eyelids, brow, upper cheeks and forehead, or to remove hemangioma.
In addition to the above, we diagnose and treat macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and dry eye.
