Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. Juvéderm® is injected under the skin to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your ‘‘smile lines’’ or ‘‘parentheses’’ (nasolabial folds—the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth). Other popular areas to treat are the lips to add natural looking volume and underneath the eyes to reduce the appearance of under eye wrinkles, allowing you to look refreshed. 

How does Juvéderm® work?​

Treatments are done in our office and take about 30 minutes and the result is immediate.

Juvéderm contains hyaluronic acid in the form of a crystal-clear gel. Juvéderm is injected into the skin to create volume, resulting in a healthy and vital appearance. When injected into the lip it can restore a more natural and/or sensuous look. In contrast to other implants, Juvéderm is not extracted from animals. This means that you don’t have to worry about an allergic reaction. Juvéderm is perfectly safe to use instantly without pre-testing.

How long does it last?​

It varies from individual to individual. The length of time your treatment will last depends on many factors such as your skin, your lifestyle and your age. Most patients find the effect remains after 9 months. However, the average lip treatment only lasts for about six months due to their higher blood flow. 

The great thing about Juvederm is that you can replenish your natural beauty whenever you feel the need. A touch-up can be performed any time you like after the previous treatment.  

Restylane-L

Treat your moderate to severe wrinkles and enhance your lips.  Restylane is used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds).

What are the possible side effects?

The most commonly observed side effects are swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, and itching at the injection site. These are typically mild in severity and typically resolve in less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14 days in lips.

Sculptra® Aesthetic

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen, a fibrous protein in the deep dermis that gives skin structure and supports the functions of elastin and hyaluronic acid, which helps maintain the skin’s shape, while keeping it smooth and hydrated. A healthy supply of collagen makes for a more youthful-looking complexion.

The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months. Results appear gradually and can last up to two years.

Restylane® Kysse
